He has appeared with the Giurgiu Philharmonic, Baton Rouge Symphony, Acadiana Symphony, Lancaster Symphony, Kennett Symphony, and Delaware Symphony, and toured internationally in Sweden, Germany, Italy, Switzerland, and South Korea.

Mr. Petrescu is celebrating his twentieth season (2025-2026) as Concertmaster of the Newark Symphony Orchestra. Alongside his wife, Tatyana Roytshteyn, he co-founded Wallingford Musical Arts, a thriving studio offering violin, viola, piano, and music theory lessons - both in person and online - to students nationwide. Mr. Petrescu currently serves as adjunct faculty at Widener University, where he teaches violin, viola, and chamber music.

As part of his outreach, in 2023 he was invited to lead a masterclass and educational performance of Vivaldi's The Four Seasons at Bucharest's Nicolae Steinhardt School.
